On December 5th, a delegation led by Rector Paderzov of Tula State Lev Tolstoy Pedagogical University of Russia visited our university. President Peng Shuangjie met with the delegation in the conference room of the AdministrativeBuilding. Directors from the Department of International Engagement also attended the meeting.
President Peng Shuangjie extended a warm welcome to the delegation on their return visit. He noted that China and Russia are good neighbors and partners, and in recent years, our university has maintained frequent exchanges with universities in Russia. The shared original aspiration for teacher education and the common mission of school running between the two institutions have laid a solid foundation for their cooperation. He also gave a brief overview of the construction plan and disciplinary layout of our university's new campus, and looked ahead to the future direction of cooperation between the two universities.
Rector Paderzov expressed his gratitude for the warm reception extended by our university. He commended the quality of education delivered by our institution as a normal university, and emphasized the great importance his university attaches to the cooperative relationship between the two sides. He stressed that 2026 marks the China-Russia Year of Cultural Exchange, and hoped to take this opportunity to further promote practical cooperation in multiple fields such as faculty and student mobility, as well as language and cultural learning, while putting forward a series of feasible cooperation plans.
During the meeting, the two sides signed an inter-university cooperation agreement, conducted in-depth exchanges on the details of cooperation and reached extensive consensus.
