On April 14, 2026, a delegation led by Valeriya Shvedova, Associate Vice President of Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU), Russia, visited Central China Normal University (CCNU) . Vice President Wu Dan of CCNU met with the delegation in the Administration Building. Heads from the Faculty of Global Engagement, Graduate School, Undergraduate School, and the School of Urban and Environmental Sciences attended the meeting.

Vice President Wu Dan extended a warm welcome to the Russian guests. She noted that fruitful cooperation has been achieved between the two universities in student and faculty exchanges, scientific research, and talent development. In January 2026, the China Center for Russian Language Proficiency Test (TORFL) co‑established by CCNU and FEFU was officially inaugurated, providing a solid platform for Sino‑Russian language and cultural exchanges, joint talent training, and mutual visits.
Associate Vice President Valeriya Shvedova emphasized that FEFU attaches great importance to cooperation with Chinese universities and regards CCNU as a key strategic partner. With the operation of the Russian language test center, she stated that bilateral cooperation enjoys broad prospects.
As 2026 is designated the China‑Russia Year of Education, both sides agreed to further cultivate international interdisciplinary talents, strengthen educational and people‑to‑people exchanges, and support the development of the China‑Russia comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in the new era. During the visit, the FEFU delegation also held in‑depth discussions with the College of Chemistry on joint research platforms and scholar exchange programs, reaching a series of cooperative agreements.
