First: A Brief Introduction of Music Performance

The music performance major began to recruit students since 2000 and has enrolled more than 30 students every year. The School of Music provided students with more than 10,000 square meters of music buildings and standard concert halls, and purchased million-dollar Steinway pianos and Boston pianos, providing students with high-quality hardware facilities for artistic practice. The college has also long-term hired internationally renowned performance artists and scholars to provide music performance and theories and other aspects of guidance and help for students majoring in music performance. With the joint efforts of the staff as a whole, a large number of excellent music performance talents have been cultivated. They have won numerous awards in various professional competitions at various levels, and have repeatedly won glory for their alma mater.

Second: Training Objectives

This major foster students in many aspects, including the basic theoretical knowledge of musicology, solid skills of singing and instruments-playing, good political and ideological quality, strong musical performance and innovative abilities and strong abilities in learning, research and innovation. In this way, this major provides high-quality graduates both for postgraduate education and for professional literary and art groups and enterprises.

Third: Basic Requirements

Graduates of this major should acquire the following knowledge and abilities: 1. Have solid professional knowledge of music, the ability of putting knowledge into practice comprehensively, good music performance techniques and skills; 2. On the basis of the university platform courses, master the basic theories of music and the knowledge system of the higher normal education system; 3. By way of professional study and training, form better musical stage practice and research abilities; 4. Get to know the basic theories of related disciplines and cultivate strong comprehensive application capabilities; 5. Master scientific education theories and teaching methods as well as basic skills required for teachers.
