From December 15th to 21st, the delegation of CCNU, composed of the heads of College of International Cultural Exchange and International Department, visited University Malaysia Sabah, School of Arts, Confucian Private Secondary School K.L. NIHAO LANGUAGE TRAINING L.L.C. in U.A.E., CANADIAN UNIVERSITY OF DUBAI, AMITY UNIVERSTIY, etc.
On the morning of December 16th, the delegation organized “Central China Normal University Malaysia MTCSOL (Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages) Opening Ceremony” in University Malaysia Sabah, School of Arts. Sixteen students, who are in this project in the East Malaysia, Huang Kexing, president of Sabah branch of the Association of Graduates from Universities and Colleges of China in Malaysia and Chen Weiyu, Secretary-General of Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC), Sabah Branch attended the opening ceremony, along with Daily Sabah, Overseas Chinese Daily News, Sin Chew Daily and other media.
On December 18th, the delegation went to Kuala Lumpur to hold the opening ceremony for the participants of the project in West Malaysia. The opening ceremony was held in Confucian Private Secondary School K.L. at 10 a.m. and thirty-four students from West Malaysia attended it. Present at the ceremony were Doc. Pan Yongqiang, Acting President of the Association of Graduates from Universities and Colleges of China in Malaysia, President Wang Wenban, Secretary of the President Council of Malaysian National-type Secondary School and other educators in Malaysia.
From December 19th to 20th, our delegation went to Dubai, visited three schools in 2 days and promoted Chinese education in the Arab world. On the morning of December 19th, the delegation of our school visited an influential Chinese school in Dubai - NIHAO LANGUAGE TRAINING L.L.C., and had talks with Ms. Ye Qi, President of the school, on school development planning, teaching materials compilation, cooperation with CCNU, and winning support from Overseas Chinese Affairs Office. They also made a preliminary planning for the future development of the school.
On the afternoon of 19th and the morning of 20th, our delegation visited AMITI UNIVERSITY and CANADIA UNIVERSITY OF DUBAI respectively. Headquartered in India, AMITY UNIVERSITY has campuses in more than 40 countries. The new campus of AMITY University in Dubai was completed in March, 2016. It has advanced facilities and the major specialties are design and finance, with a total enrollment of over 3,000 students. The two principals, Dr. NARAYANAN RAMACHANDRAN and Ms. MARIAM SHAIKH, held talks with our delegation, and reached agreements on student exchange, teacher exchange and short-term courses. On the morning of December 20th, MOHAMMED KABIR, Vice President of CANADIAN UNIVERSITY OF DUBAI, and Ms. Zhang from the Department of International Cooperation held talks with the delegation. In addition to achieving cooperation intention of the exchange of teachers and students, short-term exchange, etc.,, Ms. Zhang also highlighted the possibilities of joint training in the financial professional areas between the two schools. She said that Dubai is currently in a period of rapid economic growth with financial professionals in short supply. She hoped that the two schools can be more cooperative in this area.
