The Computational Behavior Science Summit Held in CCNU

From October 13th to 15th, the Computational Behavior Science Summit was held in CCNU. Themed human collective behavior modeling, the meeting discussed the newly developed theories and application results on network psychological and computational behavior research, and provided an outlook in the future of the research in this field. Presenting on opening ceremony were Prof. Yue Guoan, Former chairman of Chinese Psychological Society, and Luo Jun, Vice Chairman of University Council

Attended experts were from universities and research institutions domestically and overseas, including Indiana University, University of Texas, University College London, Tsinghua University, Beijing Normal University, Renmin University of China, Institute of Psychology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Nanjing Normal University, and South China Normal University.

Prof. Hu Xiang’en from School of Psychology indicated that the development of network brought us efficiency and convenience in our daily life while we were gradually trapped into and kidnaped by technology. The present time was the golden age for behavioral scientists. They are supposed to take multidisciplinary approaches to promote behavioral research and further strengthen the cooperation and exchange with celebrated scholars abroad.

Prof. Zhou Zongkui from Key Laboratory of Teenager Internet Psychology and Behavior Education Department maintained that, with the development of network technique, behavioral changes in individuals and groups should re-recognize the relationships between human being and technology and focus on the construction, compensation, and optimization of network ecosystem.

During the seminar, a team of experts, including Prof. Robert Goldstone,  academician from American Academy of Arts and Sciences (AAAS), introduced their research results. Teachers and students of related subjects and the representatives exchanged their views with experts, focusing on hot topics of network psychology research.

The seminar was sponsored by Internet Psychology Professional Committee of Chinese Psychological Society and Key Laboratory of Teenager Internet Psychology and Behavior Education Departure, and was undertaken by School of Psychology and Academy of Science Education of CCNU.
