Professor Chen Jiarong from the school of Chemistry of CCNU won the “Chinese Chemical Society-Perfectlight Outstanding Young Scientist Award’ for his prominent contribution in the field of photic driving nitrogen species

Chen Jiarong has won the National Chinese Fund for Excellent Young Scholars and is a Guizi Scholar” of CCNU. He went to the research center of GlaxoSmithKline in the United States of Pennsylvania from April 2008 to April 2009 as a visiting scholar. From January 2011 to January 2012, he went to RWTH Aachen University in Germany to do postdoctoral research. He focused on the field of organic photochemistry and reactive nitrogen species chemistry after he returned to China in 2012. Simultaneously, he presided over six National Natural Science Foundation of China and more than ten projects in Hubei. He has published more than 90 SCI papers and was quoted over 3000 times. He has received many domestic and international awards.
