Delegation of D’Youville College Visits CCNU

On October 11th, Dr. Lorrie Clemo, President of the D’Youville College, paid a visit to CCNU. Zhao Lingyun, President of CCNU, met with the delegation. Leaders of the National Engineering Research Center for E-Learning  (NERCEL) and the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange attended the meeting.

Director of the NERCEL welcomed the delegation and introduced the history and current situation of CCNU and the basic information of NERCEL.She said, NERCEL was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2009 and passed the acceptance test with distinction in 2013. It is the only national engineering technology research center in the field of educational informatization in China. Also, it is an important base of theoretical research of educational informatization, technology development, product promotion and industrial demonstration, which represents the first-class level of research and development in technology and engineering practice in the field of educational informatization in China. NERCEL devoted itself to in-depth cooperation with world-renowned companies and universities in the field of educational informatization and would like to discuss the feasibility of cooperation in teacher exchanges and student joint training with D’Youville College.

Dr. Lorrie Clemo appreciated CCNU for its hospitality. She introduced the history and strengths of D’Youville College and the various reforms the school had undertaken since she took office. She served as the Vice President of the State University of New York at Oswego and committed to promoting a full range of academic exchanges and cooperation with CCNU. She expected that this visit could promote the in-depth and pragmatic cooperation with NERCEL in the field of educational information technology.

At the meeting, representatives of  NERCEL and the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange discussed with the delegation the details of the draft cooperation memorandum of understanding agreement to be signed by the two sides, and discussed cooperation in the areas of student exchange programs, teacher exchanges and training, and reached a preliminary conclusion  of cooperation.

During the visit, the delegation also visited the NERCEL and the National Engineering Laboratory for Educational Big Data Application Technology of CCNU.

Founded in 1908, D’Youville College locates in Buffalo, New York, and was accepted as a multi-disciplinary university featuring the “mainstream” chiropractic therapy, which ranks first in New York and second in America. And according to the latest US News Best Colleges Rankings, D’Youville College ranked 254th in the US.
