From December 3 to December 4, an international symposium on “Recasting Classics of Marxist Literary Criticism and Revealing Its Contemporary Significance” was held both online and offline. The symposium was hosted by School of Chinese Language and Literature of CCNU and National Social Science Foundation Major Project Group on “Recasting Classics of Marxist Literary Criticism and Revealing Its Contemporary Significance”.
It aims to reveal the contemporary significance of Marxist theory and carry forward the Chinese form of Marxist literary.
During the symposium, more than 80 experts and scholars at home and abroad had a heated discussion about the core concerns of national reality from the perspective of Marxist theory with distinctive problem awareness.
This academic symposium is of great significance for intergrating the basic tenets of Marxism with China's realities and fine traditional Chinese culture to serve the practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.
It’s hoped that the research group in CCNU can make greater contribution to the Marxist literary criticism in the international arena and provide powerful ideological impetus for Chinese contemporary literature in the new era.
