From September first to the third, a 10-member delegation led by Prof. Sarah Todd, Vice President of Griffith University and Li Xinqing, President of Australia Education Management Group (AEMG), came to visit CCNU. They attended the opening ceremony of the Sino-Australia cooperative program in our school. On September first, Qin Hong, Vice Chairman of University Council met with the delegation.

Firstly, Qin Hong introduced the enrollment of undergraduate students of CCNU in 2018. He said, over 4600 undergraduate international students were admitted to CCNU this year, among which Sino-foreign cooperative project students had become an important component. Later on, he gave a positive recognition to the achievements in upgrading personnel training quality, broadening students’ international horizons and enhancing teacher-student communication. He noted that Sino-foreign cooperative program in social work had transformed from a single project on personnel training to an important stage of international cooperative school and joint research program. He hoped that China and Australia can carry out practical cooperation in improving the conversion rate of students going abroad, strengthening teachers' scientific research cooperation and jointly holding seminars, so as to jointly promote the development of Sino-foreign cooperative education programs in social work.

Sarah Todd stated that Griffith University highly valued the cooperative relationship with CCNU and looked upon us as a strategic partner overseas. Since this project was approved, Griffith University has appointed qualified teachers to the School of Sociology of our university these years, sparing no efforts in the construction of Sino-foreign cooperative program in social work to improve this project’s education quality and interconnection level. Two universities co-determined to hold a seminar on Sino-Australian cooperative social work at Griffith University in December. This determination proves that on the basis of cooperatively running school, the cooperation develops virtuously and expands to joint scientific research and teacher-student communication.

During the meeting, delegations from both sides made a deep communication on increasing the number of project students going abroad, adjusting the arrangement of curriculum, sharing data on a cloud platform, attending the graduation ceremony etc..
