On 16th May, Academician Sigov Alexander, a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences and chairman of the Russian Technological University (RTU), along with Solunova Irina, Vice-Principal of RTU, and Wang Juntao, head of Chinese affairs at RTU, visited the College of Physical Sciences and Technology of CCNU.
In the morning, Academician Sigov Alexander delivered a captivating lecture as part of the "Boya Lecture Series." The lecture, titled "Thin Ferroelectric Films as A Main Component Of Some Electronic Devices", took place in the Lecture Hall, introducing cutting-edge knowledge of ferroelectric thin film materials to the present teachers and students.
Ren Youzhou, Vice President of CCNU, warmly welcomed the delegation and suggested that the two sides could deepen cooperation in student exchanges and scientific research in the future, thereby making new contributions to the advancement of China-Russia educational development. Academician Sigov introduced the basic situation of Russian Technological University and expressed his hope to utilize this visit as an opportunity to enhance exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.
During the meeting, Academician Sigov Alexander was appointed as an honorary professor of the CCNU, and Vice President Ren presented Academician Sigov with a letter of appointment.
In the afternoon, Academician Sigov engaged in profound academic exchanges with several research groups from the School of Physical Sciences and Technology, discussing prospective work plans and collaborating on potential areas of future cooperation.
