On November 26, 2024, the Samoan Embassy in Beijing hosted a dinner reception to celebrate the official visit of the Samoan Prime Minister and her delegation. The event featured an invitation for Samoan students, including three notable attendees from Central China Normal University: Filifiliga Tuala, an undergraduate student from the School of Music; Teuila Tagaloa, an undergraduate from the School of Politics and International Studies; and Matulino Taulua Togaga'e, a graduate student also from the School of Politics and International Studies. During her speech, the Prime Minister emphasized the pivotal role these students play as the future of Samoa, acknowledged their educational achievements in China, and underscored the importance of their international experiences. She encouraged them to excel in their studies and to always remember the support of their families. The reception concluded with a memorable photograph opportunity for the students with the Prime Minister.
