On November 20, delegation led by Mr Padrício Rojas, Director of the Regional Development and Management Office of the Biobio region of Chile and Secretary-General of the Federation for Cooperation with China, visited CCNU. The delegation was warmly received by Vice President Ren Youzhou and directors of relevant departments.
President Ren Youzhou welcomed the delegation and introduced CCNU's history, the development of its Spanish language program, plans for the new campus, and cooperation with South American countries. He emphasized that the friendly relations between Hubei Province and the Biobio region provide opportunities to deepen collaboration with universities in the region, particularly in faculty and student exchanges, and joint research, to support local economic and social development.
This marked Padrício Rojas's third visit to CCNU. He expressed gratitude for the warm reception and pledged to further promote comprehensive cooperation between universities and enterprises in Chile and China, focusing on digital transformation, AI applications, and language talent cultivation.
During the meeting, both sides discussed collaboration on establishing Confucius Institutes, hosting international academic conferences, translating and publishing academic papers, joint student training programs, and organizing digital education conferences and summer camps.
The delegation also toured the Educational Big Data Laboratory at CCNU's Faculty of Artificial Intelligence in Education.
