Recently, the Huawei ICT Competition 2023-2024 Global Finals were held in Shenzhen. Two teams from our School of Computer Science won the Top Prize and the Third Prize in the Innovation Competition at the Global Finals. They competed against participants from over 2,000 colleges and universities and more than 170,000 students from more than 80 countries and regions worldwide.
One project applied ICT technology to production practices, unlocking agricultural application scenarios. This project won the Top Prize in the Innovation Competition at the Global Finals and was honored for Green Development.
The other project stood out with its innovative product architecture and broad application prospects, winning the Third Prize in the Innovation Competition at the Global Finals.
The Huawei ICT Competition is an annual event initiated by Huawei company for college students around the world. It aims to create an international competition and exchange platform for college students worldwide and help to improve students' ICT knowledge and practical skills. Since its inception in 2015, the influence of the Huawei ICT Competition has gradually increased. It has now been included in the list of college student competitions in general colleges and universities across the country. It is also a key partner flagship project of the UNESCO Global Skills Academy. As for now, the total number of participants has reached 750,000, covering more than 2,000 colleges and universities from 80 countries and regions.
