From May 16th to 23rd, President Peng Shuangjie led a delegation to visit New Zealand and Australia to expand and deepen our exchanges and cooperation with institutions in Oceania.
On May 17th, Peng Shuangjie and his delegation visited the University of Auckland in New Zealand. The two universities reached a consensus to collaborate on teacher exchanges, scientific research and joint cultivation of top-tier innovative talents in related disciplines. They also discussed in depth the opportunities for cooperation in digital education.
On May 20th, the delegation paid a visit to the Consulate-General of the People's Republic Of China in Sydney. President Peng Shuangjie expressed his gratitude to the Chinese Consulate General in Sydney for their long-term support to CCNU. He introduced the university's educational exchanges and cooperation with Australia and New South Wales.
On the same day, President Peng Shuangjie and his entourage also visited the University of Wollongong in Australia. The two institutions renewed their cooperation agreement on the student exchange programs.
On May 21st, the delegation visited the University of Newcastle, Australia. The two universities renewed their cooperation agreement on the student exchange program. Both sides highly affirmed the fruitful achievements of the Confucius Institute at the University of Newcastle and looked forward to further deepening cooperation based on the platform of the Confucius Institute.
The visit was warmly received by the Australia and New Zealand Alumni Association of CCNU. Mr. Peng also held a discussion with Mr. Wang Desheng, President of the Alumni Association, where he expressed his appreciation for their concern and support for the development of our alma mater and encouraged them to make greater contributions to the promotion of exchanges and cooperation between our university and New Zealand and Australia.
