On June 18th, our school's 2024 graduation and degree conferment ceremony was held at Youming Stadium.All school leaders, as well as directors of relevant departments attended the ceremony. Together with parent representatives, they witnessed the graduates completing their studies at CCNU and, embarking on a new journey of pursuing their dreams. The ceremony was presided over by Chen Diming, Deputy Secretary of CCNU.
President Peng Shuangjie first reflected on the students' journey at Guizi Mountain, offering warm congratulations to the graduates for their academic achievements. He also expressed deep gratitude to the dedicated teachers for their commitment to education and to the parents for their silent but invaluable support.
Regarding the new journey of life that graduates will embark on, President Peng hopes students can grasp the certainty in uncertainty and shoulder the responsibility of national rejuvenation. "Youth isn't constrained by mountains and oceans; our aspirations are solely for the future of our nation", he encouraged all graduates to fearlessly face the difficulties and challenges on their path, to ride the waves, and to advance courageously.
Professor Xia Lixin presented the flag to the 26th Graduates Volunteering Teaching Team. Zhao Hengjian, the head of the teaching group, expressed a firm determination to carry forward the aspirations of the predecessors and contribute their wisdom and strength to the rural revitalization in the central and western region of the motherland.
Qin Yuxuan, a dedicated student from the School of Life Sciences, is poised to respond to the national call and be a teacher in middle school to serve the country. Yu Yifei, a graduate of the School of Marxism, has chosen to take root in the main position of ideological and political work and become a "young Marxist" with strong feelings for home and country. Li Yuhan, a 2024 PhD graduate of the School of Foreign Languages, is determined to tell China's stories well and convey the voice of China. Ai Le, an international graduate representative from Russia, expressed her determination to continue fostering traditional friendship as a bridge between the two nations.
Professor Guo Yuanxiang, the teacher representative from the School of Education, shared stories of predecessors and urged graduates to integrate their personal dreams into the journey of building a strong country, paving the road to the glory of their dreams with responsibility and practice.
Ke Xihu, the alumni representative and a 2011 graduate of the School of Mathematics and Statistics, encouraged students aspiring to engage in education to dare to dream and strive to realize their dreams, thus becoming outstanding educators who bring pride to CCNU and satisfaction to the people as soon as possible.
The familiar school anthem echoed in the playground. Tutors stood on both sides of the Stadium to turn the tassels for all graduates and award the degree certificates.
