On November 15th, the 9th Forum on Cultural and Technological Innovation and the Development of Cultural Industry was held in the Science Hall of CCNU. Peng Shuangjie, President of the university, Tuo Zuhai, Vice President and Secretary-General of the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Association and former Deputy Director of the China National Arts and Crafts Research Institute, leaders from provincial and municipal level as well as scholars and experts attended the forum.

With the theme of “Urban Memory and Digital Creativity”, this forum aims to promote the in-depth integration of cultural inheritance and technological innovation, and provide new momentum and directions for the high-quality development of the cultural industry. Gathering over 100 experts and scholars from the political, industrial, academic, research, and application sectors, the forum conducted in-depth discussions on topics such as urban memory and heritage protection, digital creativity and industrial form integration, and jointly explored new paths for the integrated development of cultural inheritance and digital technology.

In his speech, president Peng Shuangjie reviewed the university's over 100-year educational history, introduced the efforts made by the university in cultural inheritance and protection, and the empowerment of smart education. He stated that this forum, focusing on “Urban Memory and Digital Creativity” presented a profound concern for the era proposition of how to safeguard the city’s soul and stimulate cultural vitality in the tide of history. He expressed expectations that scholars from all walks of life would pool their wisdom to jointly depict a new blueprint for the integration of cultural inheritance and technology, and wished the forum a complete success.
