On January 16th, the unveiling ceremony of the National Civilized Campus was held at the the Converged Media Center of CCNU. Leaders from the provincial and university level attended the ceremony.
At the ceremony, the special documentary Civilization Flourishes on Guizi Mountain — A Record of Central China Normal University's Efforts in Building a National Civilized Campus was screened. As introduced by Chairman Xia, over the past 120 years, generations of faculty and students of CCNU have upheld the university spirit of Loyalty, Erudition, Elegance, Simplicity and Perseverance and promoted the campus culture of Extensive Knowledge, Refined Taste and Universal Love, fostering a profound civilized heritage and distinctive civilized character.
Since 1993, the university has been named Hubei Provincial Civilized Unit for 13 consecutive times. After being awarded the title of National Civilized Unit in 2011, the university has remained committed and diligent in pursuing excellence, closely following the standards for civilized campus construction and vigorously advancing the building of a National Civilized Campus. In 2025, the university was successfully selected as the Third Batch of National Civilized Campuses. This is not only a comprehensive recognition of past achievements, but also a strong testament to the spiritual pursuit and civilized practices of all CCNU members.
It is reported that the selection of the Third Batch of National Civilized Campuses was launched on March 24, 2025. Following procedures including self-evaluation and application, provincial recommendation, and central deliberation, the list was officially announced by the Leading Group for Central Publicity, Ideological and Cultural Work at the National Conference on Spiritual Civilization Construction held on May 23. A total of 890 schools were recognized in this selection, covering 31 provinces across the country.
