Nay Lin Tun from the School of Politics and International Studies.
"As an international student volunteer, my role is to assist the athletes in retrieving their belongings and replenishing their energy by promptly providing them with water, chocolate, and Red Bull. I have been participating in the campus sports meetings for several years now, and it is a fabulous setting where individuals from different countries, departments, and academic backgrounds can hone their sportsmanship, make more friends, and create unforgettable experiences."
FIRA FELICIA PANGESTU from the College of International Cultural Exchange
"I'm from Pakistan and I'm participating in the women's 3000m race. I think this event is an excellent opportunity to make friends with Chinese and fellow competitors. Although running 3000m is exhausting, I didn't train a lot before this competition, because I had too much homework to complete. Nevertheless, I endeavored to give my best and complete this competition. And I love CCNU."
NAUMENKO SOFIA from the College of International Cultural Exchange
"I participated in the women's 100-meter race this time. I realized that I should pay more attention to running as I observed that Chinese students are very good at it. I just signed up and didn't train much before the race."
BHANBARI BIMALA from the College of International Cultural Exchange
"I took part in the shuttlecock kicking event this sports session. Despite limited time for preparation, I believe my performance was satisfactory. However, this sports meeting was truly outstanding, filled with joy and exuberance across the entire playing field."
Renuka Damayanthi Kumari from the College of International Cultural Exchange
"During this sports session, I had the opportunity to participate in the 400-meter race, representing our college with pride. Sports holds a significant role in people's lives, so it is critical to organize sports session. Though I finished 7th in the race, I think the sports meeting was exceptional. Additionally, I had the pleasure of meeting many interesting people who brought smiles to my face throughout the day."
Zhang Ming & Xiao Yawen from the School of Chinese Language and Literature
"We're members of the dance team at the School of Literature, and we love dancing. Since receiving the invitation to perform at the opening ceremony, we've started our preparations. We feel truly blessed to participate in this dance performance, and the sports meeting is so marvelous that we can hardly contain our pride and excitement. We would like to applaud all the athletes and share out message to them: Grade is not the sole criterion in the competition, all of you have set a good example for us!"
During those two days, laughter, energy, and vitality filled the air. The Olympic spirit---- Higher, Faster, Stronger, and Together was brought to life. The 2023 Sports Session not only built up energy for everyone to embark on their future journeys but also highlighted the importance of sportsmanship, teamwork, and fair play.
