International Forum for Young Scholars Held at CCNU

On January 9^th, the opening ceremony of CCNU International Forum for Young Scholars was held in the academic lecture hall of the Nanhu campus. Leaders from provincial and university level attended the ceremony. More than 310 young scholars from home and abroad participated in this forum through a combination of online and offline methods.

Vice President Ren Youzhou said in his speech at the opening ceremony that the report of the 20^th National Congress of the Communist Party of China integrated education, science and technology, and talent work, further sounding the call for accelerating the construction of an important talent center and innovation highland in the world. CCNU anchors the goal of being a world-class university with leading teacher education, insists on attracting talents, gathering talents, and making talents fully display their talent as an overall and strategic matter in the reform and development of the school. We have formulated a series of policies and measures and promoted the implementation of a number of planned projects to provide strong human support for high-quality development. "Today's CCNU values talents more than ever before and is more hungry for talents than ever before."As always, we will firmly implement the strategy of " strengthening the school with talents" and escort it with a more open structure, a more inclusive mind, and more considerate services. We'll work hand in hand with talents at home and abroad to share development opportunities and create a better future.

"Central China Normal University is a well-known university with a good reputation at home and abroad. It has been linked to the destiny of Wuhan for many years and has shared weal and woe with the city. It is the talent pool and source of power that leads Wuhan's innovative development." In his speech, Xu Chao, deputy director of Bureau of Wuhan Human Resources shared with the audience the advantages of science and education, urban construction, industrial layout, medication & education and other aspects of Wuhan, and said that Wuhan is creating a national-level platform to attract talents, and it is the right time for a large number of young talents to come to Wuhan to find employment and start up businesses.

"As a native who was born and raised up at Central China Normal University, I am full of affection for every plant and tree in Guizi Mountain. In my nearly 40 years of teaching, I have already closely linked my personal career with the development of the school." said Ma Min, a senior professor at CCNU, in his speech and reviewed the reasons why he firmly chose to work at CCNU. "This is a university with a profound historical heritage. Masters gathered together here, talents emerged in large numbers, academic accumulation is profound, and the scientific research environment is excellent. Young scholars can display their talents and make a difference in this fertile soil. Central China Normal University is also a university full of human touch. 'Putting students first, putting teachers first' is a consistent educational philosophy." professor Ma expressed his hope that young scholars will choose CCNU as a new starting point in life and pursue their dreams in Guizi Mountain.

Professor Zhu Manlu from the School of Life Sciences shared her growing experience and feelings at CCNU in her speech. "Since I joined the school in 2017, it has given me the space to concentrate on my studies, allowing me to cultivate my own research interest without any distractions. It has also allowed me to experience the joy of teaching and educating students." As a young teacher, professor Zhu extended a sincere invitation to young scholars, hoping that they can achieve their ideals and ambitions on Guizi mountain, a fertile soil for scientific research, education and talent cultivation.

With the theme of "Cultivating Leaders for the Future World", professor Zhou Pengcheng, president of the No. 1 Middle School Affiliated to Central China Normal University, shared with the talents the school's historical evolution, characteristics, achievements and campus culture, etc., and introduced the enrollment and basic education of children at CCNU.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, a dialogue and interview session was held between the young scholars and directors & deans from the administrative organs several teaching units. They interacted on topics such as talent introduction policy, academic research, interdisciplinary and cooperation, etc. .
