From December 16th to 18th,2023,The 4th Symposium on Frontiers of Pollution Control Chemistry was held in Wuhan,supported by the Department of Chemical Sciences of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and co-organized by the School of Chemistry(CCNU),the Engineering Center for Light Energy Utilization and Pollution Reduction and Carbon Reduction of the Ministry of Education,and the School of Environmental Science and Engineering of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Jiang Guibin,academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences,Zhao Jincai,the academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences,Zhu Lizhong, the academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering,Ma Jun,the academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering,Liu Maili,the academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences,Yu Hanqing,the academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering,Zhuang Qiankun,director of the Environmental Chemistry Department of the National Natural Science Foundation of China,Vice President Ren Youzhou and other leading guests attended the opening ceremony.
The participating experts conducted in-depth exchanges on topics such as "Water Pollution Control Chemistry","Air Pollution Control Chemistry","Soil,Solid Waste,New Pollutants,Radio contamination Control Chemistry" and other topics,and discussed key scientific issues in pollution control chemistry and possible major developments in basic research. Oriented by the major national needs,the meeting focuses on the complex system of actual environmental engineering and makes suggestions on subject development and talent training.
