On March 29th, the Calligraphy Exhibition and the fifth Mountain Guizi Aesthetic Education Festival opened on the fourth floor of the Museum of Central China Normal University. Leaders from provincial & university level attended the event.
Co-sponsored by the School of Fine Arts of Central China Normal University and the Yangtze River Institute of Calligraphy, the exhibition showcases over 30 works from seven renowned calligraphists in Hubei province. These artwork vividly illustrate the inheritance and innovation of excellent traditional Chinese culture. The exhibition provides an opportunity to closely observe the masterpieces of famous artists and to experience the extensive and profound traditional Chinese culture.
Xie Yaohui, the secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Fine Arts, stated that since the inception of the first Aesthetic Education Festival in 2019, it has consistently adhered to its original intention of cultivating personality and inspiring hearts. The festival aims to enhance students' core qualities and foster a campus culture characterized by virtues, civilized elegance, and vitality. It endeavors to allow the seeds of beauty take root in Mountain Guizi and flourish towards the sun.
This event will span three months and is expected to attract over 10,000 attendees from various walks of life. It will serve as a showcase of the achievements of aesthetic education at Central China Normal University.
