On July 1st, the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement between Central China Normal University and South-Central Minzu University was held at the Academic Exchange Center of South-Central Minzu University. School leaders from both sides attended the ceremony.

Professor Xia Lixin, secretary of CCNU, stated that this signing not only carries forward the historical friendship rooted in their common origin from Zhongyuan University, but also undertakes the contemporary mission of serving the strategy of building a powerful education nation, which is of great significance for advancing the "Double First-Class" construction of both universities.
Professor Peng Shuangjie, president of CCNU, emphasized that the two universities share the same origin and have a solid foundation for cooperation. Based on the existing cooperation achievements in teaching, scientific research, social services and other fields, this signing will deepen the implementation and achieve higher-level collaborative development.

Professor Xu Yeqin, secretary of SCMU, mentioned that taking this opportunity, the two universities will establish a long-term mechanism for regular exchanges to deepen their friendship and expand cooperation. They will further promote the sharing of scientific and educational resources, jointly tackle national-level projects, and co-build distinctive brands. Additionally, they will strengthen the responsibility of relevant entities, promote precise collaboration among departments to ensure the effectiveness of talent cultivation, and move forward hand in hand to undertake their missions in the course of serving national strategies and promoting high-quality regional economic development.
Professor Liu Yi, president of SCMU, noted that South-Central Minzu University and Central China Normal University "share a common cultural context and a close bond." He expressed the expectation that the two universities will join hands to advance the complementary development of advantageous and characteristic disciplines, jointly cultivate high-caliber talents, and contribute to building a powerful education nation and advancing Chinese modernization.
