September 10th is the 39th Teachers' Day in China.To celebrate the 120th anniversary of theCCNU as well as the Teachers' Day, the schoolorganizedscholars, outstanding teachers and student representatives to Tiananmen Square toattend the national flag-raising ceremony.School leaders also present the ceremony.
At 4:20 in the morning, the night was still dark. Facing the cool morning breeze, the teacher and student representatives gathered in formation and drove to Tiananmen Square. At about five o'clock,the whole team stood on the viewing platform, looking forward to the solemn moment of the national flag being raised. At dawn, the national flag guard walked out of the Tiananmen Gate Tower in uniform steps and marched forward with high spirits.Everyone watched silently.
At 5:50, accompanied by the faint morning light, the flag-raiser waved his arm, and the bright five-star red flag rose slowly against the glow, amidst the majestic national anthem. All the teachers and students who watched the ceremony were filled with excitement, high spirits, and full of love for the party and the motherland. They sang the national anthem and left precious memories together.
“ I am very excited about the ceremony and feel that my mission as a teacher is glorious and my responsibility is great, especially on the very day of the 39th Teacher’s Day, when president Xi Jinping proposed the educator spirit in his letter to representatives of outstanding teachers across the country. Li Ruihao, a bachelor student from the School of Urban and Environmental Sciences, has always regarded teaching and educating people as a goal he will fight for. "I will take my teachers as an example, carry forward the spirit of educators,and devote myself to the education.
As a normal student as well as a member of the national flag guard, the dual "identity" makes today's viewing ceremony uniquely meaningful for Cui Yirong, a 2021 undergraduate student in the School of History and Culture. Watching the national flag rising slowly, Cui Yirong was very excited, "The flag is in my heart and my mission is on my shoulders. I am willing to contribute my youth to the construction of a strong country and the great cause of national rejuvenation."
