On September 10th, the 2024 Teachers' Day Celebration and Commendation Conference was held in the auditorium of Student Activity Center. University leaders, distinguished talents and award recipients, faculty representatives, long-serving and newly hired teachers, department heads, and student representatives all attended the conference. The event was presided over by Vice President Ren Youzhou.
Professor Xia Lixin, Secretary of the CPC Committee of CCNU, emphasized that as a "national team" in teacher's education, the university guides its faculties to carry forward and embody the spirit of educators, fostering a strong commitment to education. He expressed his hope that all teachers would strive to be knowledgeable educators with innovative thinking, broad visions and good virtues. He also encouraged teachers to dedicate themselves to talent cultivation and aim to be compassionate and devoted mentors.
President Peng Shuangjie extended his greetings to all the teachers and staff working diligently on the front lines of teaching, management and service. He mentioned that teachers are the foundation and source of education, and the key to building a world-class university with leading teacher education lies in its talents and educators. He expressed his hope that all the teachers remain committed to the future of the country and approach every lesson with dedication, striving to transform the university into a world-class institution at the forefront of teacher education through tireless effort.
