On September 8th, the 40th Teachers' Day celebration and the commendation ceremony for outstanding collectives and individuals in education system were held in Beijing. Ding Qian, an associate professor from the School of Marxism of CCNU, was honored as a 2024 National Model Teacher.
For the past 23 years, professor Ding Qian has been dedicated to her teaching. Her lecture on the "Basic Principles of Marxism" is widely regarded as one of "the most popular course on Guizi Mountain". She encourages her students to explore the motherland by visiting rural areas and experiencing the countryside firsthand.
As a college teacher, Ding Qian devotes herself to both teaching and research, promoting problem-oriented teaching reform, problem-chain teaching, and an innovative collective preparation mode. The course of "Fundamental Principles of Marxism", was selected as part of the first batch of national first-class undergraduate courses. On March 18th, 2019, as a representative of faculties working in higher education, she participated in a symposium hosted by President Xi Jinping.
With a strong sense of responsibility and exemplary ethics, Ding Qian has received numerous accolades, including "National Teaching Model in Higher Institutions" by the Ministry of Education, the "Hubei May Day Labor Medal" and "Top Ten Virtuous Teacher Model" in Hubei Province, and "Top Ten Inspiring Figures of Hongshan District, Wuhan".
