On October 31, the opening ceremony of the CCNU 2024 Sports Meet was held at Youming Stadium, attended by university leaders and department heads.
In the opening remarks, President Peng Shuangjie highlighted CCNU's steady progress in physical education, mass sports and competitive sports, adhering to a "Health First" philosophy and promoting a balanced approach integrating moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic and labor education. CCNU has enriched its curriculum, upgraded facilities, and enhanced its teaching staff to create a comprehensive physical education system of "monthly competitions, weekly matches, and daily exercise", improving students' athletic literacy, enriching their leisure time, and supporting their long-term health.
In competitive sports, CCNU athletes like Chen Jiapeng and Liu Dezhu have excelled in national and international competitions, bringing honor to the university. Peng encouraged all teachers and students to embrace a "Love CCNU, Love Sports" spirit and contribute to the vision of a Leading Sporting Nation.

During the opening ceremony, representative teams from each unit entered the field in an organized formation, their vibrant performances eliciting enthusiastic applause.
This three-day sports meet, hosted by the CCNU Sports Committee and supported by multiple schools, saw a participation from 2,675 teachers and 6,942 students.
