On October 19th, the 100th anniversary conference and innovation development forum of CCNU's mathematics discipline were held in the auditorium of the College Student Activity Center. The conference was chaired by Professor Peng Shuangjie.
On behalf of CCNU, Secretary Xia Lixin congratulates the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the mathematics and welcomes all the experts who have come from afar. He reviewed the development process of CCNU's mathematics discipline and highly praised the achievements made by generations of mathematicians in talent cultivation, scientific research, social services, international exchange and cooperation.
Professor Peng Shuangjie stated that after generations of mathematicians' continuous efforts, CCNU has become an important place for mathematical research and talents nurturing. He hopes that the School of Mathematics and Statistics could continue its excellent qualities and forge ahead, providing high-quality talents for our country and making further progress.
The experts and scholars who attended the conference highly praised the great achievements and academic atmosphere of the CCNU's mathematics discipline. At the same time, they provided valuable suggestions for the construction of CCNU's mathematics discipline.
At the conference, Deng Yinbin, Li Gongbao, Zhu Changjiang, Peng Shuangjie and Zhou Yuanyang, the five deans of the School of Mathematics and Statistics since its establishment, passed the torch and jointly igniting the flame which symbolized the vigorous development of the School of Mathematics and Statistics, expressing their expectations and good wishes for the future.
Professor Zhou Yuanyang, introduced the preliminary construction and mid-term development of the School of Mathematics and Statistics. He stated that the School of Mathematics and Statistics will try its best to serve the strategy of our country and contribute to the construction of CCNU.
