On March 13, President Stephen Morgan of The University of Saint Joseph of Macau and his delegation visited CCNU. They signed a cooperation and exchange agreement and discuss cooperation between the two universities. President Peng Shuangjie and Vice President Ren Youzhou attended the meeting. Directors and representatives from CCNU's Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs and the School of Education also participated in the discussion.

Presiden Peng Shuangjie warmly welcomed Stephen Morgan and his delegation. He introduced CCNU's history, current situation and future plans, while reviewing the past cooperation between CCNU and Macao-based universities and organizations. He expressed his anticipation that this visit would advance practical cooperation in the fields of talent cultivation and joint research, thus contributing wisdom and strength to the national development.
Stephen Morgan expressed his gratitude for the warm reception. He elaborated on the history of higher education in Macao, the educational journey of the University of Saint Joseph in Macao, its internationalized education features, as well as it's close connections and abundant resources with Portuguese-speaking countries and Europe. He hoped to explore pre-service and follow-up training for teacher trainees, strengthen student exchanges between the two sides, and enhance related quality initiatives to support the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the country.

During the meeting, the two sides signed a cooperation agreement and reached multiple consensuses on student exchange, joint cultivation, and teaching materials construction. During the visit, the delegation also toured the School of Education and Museum of CCNU.
