Recently, Professor Tian Youyi from the School of Education has been awarded the 2025 "Chutian Outstanding Teacher", an honor only 70 teachers across the Hubei province can receive this year.
Professor Tian Youyi, a doctoral supervisor at the School of Education, focuses on the study of principles of education. He has published over 150 papers in academic journals such as Educational Research and was ranked among the top 1% of highly cited scholars on CNKI in 2024 for his significant academic impact.
Professor Tian's excellence in teaching is demonstrated by numerous top honors, including the National Teaching Achievement Award and a First Prize in the Hubei Young Teachers Teaching Competition. As the leader of the national-level "Pedagogy Teaching Team", he has spearheaded teaching innovations and developed several national and provincial exemplary courses. He is also a successful mentor, having guided numerous students to victory in national teaching skills contests.
Professor Tian pledged to leverage this honor to further enhance the university's educational and research excellence. He will focus on leading pedagogical innovation and cultivating a high-caliber teaching team, thereby providing essential scientific and educational support for the university's Double First-Class strategic initiative.
