CCNU has distinctive characteristics in the cultivation of undergraduate students. The normal education is mainly devoted to the development of national basic education to train high-quality teachers with both ability and morality and tap potential of future educators. Non-normal education is mainly devoted to training academic and practical personnel for economic and social development. The university has well-developed undergraduate curriculum system and the integration of general education and professional education, which promote a personalized development of undergraduate students.
College of International Cultural Exchange sets up an undergraduate program in Chinese language for international students to cultivate practical skills and meet the needs of the international community development. In addition to having a solid foundation of Chinese language and professional theoretical knowledge, students also learn Chinese culture, economy and trade, and are familiar with China’s rapid development and progress. Students are expected to have a high level of Chinese teaching ability and research ability, and are competent for Chinese language teaching for non-Chinese native speakers. The College has a group of high-level teachers. CCNU offers Chinese courses, China Panorama, and Chinese Culture and other general courses for non-Chinese language undergraduate international students as well.
